Workshop: Free the Imagination Through Writing

This workshop invites you on a journey into your own imagination to uncover the memories, stories and poems there. You will learn to recognize and banish the inner critic who often inhibits you from expressing your ideas.

Through a series of guided exercises, you will liberate your imagination to discover a simple and natural writing process. Over two consecutive Sundays, you will learn the basic story elements at the heart of every genre, including fiction, nonfiction and drama. Exercises, games and stimulating in-class and at-home writing prompts will help you discover your inner writer.

You will have the opportunity to practice writing over the week and share it the following Sunday for constructive feedback and editing suggestions. No writing experience is necessary. Bring your favourite kind of notebook and writing implement to the workshop.
