Workshop: Exploring Alternative Photographic Processes

During this two-day workshop we will explore photographic processes which combine digital and analog techniques in unique and creative ways. You will explore ways of combing historical processes, such as using cyanotypes and image transfers with digital printing techniques and mixed-media materials.

You will learn how to make a digital pinhole camera and how to transfer a digital negative on to watercolour paper or fabric. The weekend sessions will include a review of important camera functions and how to effectively use your camera in creative and abstract ways. Student will complete several finished works within the class.
