Ever wonder what makes a good composition? Or why one design stands out more than another? This workshop will introduce you to some very basic design concepts using simple hands-on exercises that use collage as a way of creating immediate compositions. You will learn how to use geometric and organic shapes, colour, texture and pattern to create balance and dynamic visual tension.

The skills you learn in this one-day workshop will be useful in the development of paintings, drawings, needlework or graphic design projects.
