WORDS ON FIRE Open Mike holds their last event of the season with featured reader Derek Hanebury, well known local writer and instructor of English and Creative Writing at North Island college. His readings of both prose and poetry promise to be highly entertaining! Doors open at 6:30 and Open Mike readings start at 7:00. We profile readings by poets, short story writers, storytellers, novelists and songwriters. The guidelines are that it must be your writing and be no more than five minutes! The $5.00 fee includes tea/coffee and goodies. There is a draw for free admittance for the next WORDS ON FIRE, September 22. Join us to hear author Derek Hanebury.
