Woodwynn Farms 2-hour Guided Farm Tour & Info Session. Offered every Saturday to the general public and community groups interested in learning firsthand about this theraputic farm for the homeless located on a 193-acre farm in Central Saanich.

Guided tour is lead by Woodwynn Farms Founder and Executive Director Richard Leblanc.

WHEN: Saturdays starting at 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM  **EXCEPT all statuatory holidays**

During the guided tour, you will walk through sections of the farm not made available to the general public. This tour involves walking a fair distance throughout the property on uneven ground.

YOU WILL:

- Learn interesting facts about past, present and future activities on the 193-acre farm

- Walk the unique 1-acre Woodwynn Peace Garden & Labyrinth. Learn how the garden, plants, sculptures and vision for this art project related to peace came to fruition.

- See firsthand the many farm-based projects completed by talented Woodwynn Farms participants

- See the vegetable gardens, greenhouses, woodworking shop and other farm areas

- Learn about the livestock, gardening methods and farming activities

- Have an opportunity to ask questions during both the outdoor tour and indoor info session

ADMISSION: No charge for this tour. Donations are warmly welcomed and appreciated.

BEFORE COMING TO THE FARM:

- Please arrive a few minutes before 1:00 PM. Tour STARTS at 1:00 PM.

- Dress appropriately for outside weather

- Wear proper footwear for walking on uneven, wet, muddy ground

While at Woodwynn Farms, visit the year-round indoor farm market. Open Tues - Sat 10 AM - 4 PM. In-season farm-grown produce is always available. Cash, Interact, VISA, MC accepted.

Woodwynn Farms is a therapeutic community for the homeless located on a 193-acre farm in Central Saanich. The Woodwynn experience is a massive, positive, healthy pattern-interrupt to the participants’ worlds, in as many aspects as we can have come together in one place at one time. As a therapeutic community for the homeless, we offer an opportunity to change peoples’ lives with educational and work programs based on responsibility, dignity, independence and the principles of peer-to-peer help.
