Women of Note (WON) is a networking group where women come together to celebrate the arts in our community. The funds raised by WON allow all Grade 4 students in the central Vancouver Island region an opportunity to experience the Vancouver Island Symphony LIVE on the stage at the Port Theatre.
This Integrated Music Education Program is a partnership between the Vancouver Island Symphony (VIS) and Island School Districts. The school districts pay $1 plus busing for all Grade 4 students to attend the concert, and the VIS raises the remainder of the funds required to produce these shows.
What do you receive by joining Women of Note?
-A new Networking opportunity for women in the region through arts-based activities.
-Your Name (and Business) will be listed in the Symphony's encore! magazine as a Women of Note .
-You are invited to attend WON events throughout the year.
-You will see the direct impact of your donation by attending a VIS My Symphony Education Show that all Grade 4 students in the region attend.
-You may bring different female friends to WON events. It is WON's hope that these women will decide to join after attending one event.
-You are invited to contribute to the WON Grow an Artist Bursary Fund .
-Promote your business by sponsoring events, through offering discounts to WON members, giveaways at events and more!
Cost to join: $10 donation per month for a year (minimum donation $120 annually which supports the My Symphony Education Shows).
A tax receipt will be issued for your support of WON!
