The Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Societys Immigrant Welcome Center is celebrating Black History Month in February by presenting a community storytelling event, the fourth in a series, at Chase River Elementary School. Four local Black Canadian storytellers will share their personal stories about belonging to this community.

Chase River Elementary School has been selected as the venue because the school is on land formally owned by the Stark Family - early Black settlers in the area.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
