Winter Solstice Celebration. 3rd Annual.  We begin with a Candlelight Cedar Bough Spiral Walk for adults & children, followed by Dances of Universal Peace. For all ages.  Honoring all traditions. Joyful, meaningful, open to all.  Everything is fully taught.  A memorable community event for all ages. 

The spiral cedar-bough walk is an ancient tradition as a way to celebrate the Winter Solstice, as we carry light through the darkness. Then we’ll push the boughs aside and begin Dances of Universal Peace, which are now done worldwide as a way to inspire peace and honor all spiritual, wisdom traditions.  Children love the Spiral Walk, and many stay through all the Dances as well.  (However, you can easily slip out if the children get restless.)

What are Dances of Universal Peace?   “Simple circle dances, done around the world, honoring all spiritual and wisdom traditions and recognizing the One Source of all. The dances and songs are simple and easy to learn. The music we create together is beautiful and uplifting. No audience; no performers; no dogma; and no experience necessary. Everything is fully taught each time. It’s comfortable, joyful, fun, and deep. Open to the whole community – to every one of any age, tradition, background and belief.

Dances of Universal Peace take place monthly in Errington or Coombs.  Join us all year!  www.islandhealing.ca.
