Thursday, September 22: SPECIAL PARTNER EVENT AT CANOE BREWPUB
6:30pm: "If By Sea" a Surfrider Foundation Vancouver Island Fundraiser that will include a few Short Film Screenings, Silent Photo Auction featuring prints by numerous local artists, appies, raffle and door prizes. Short films include: "The More Things Change" - Directed by Nathan Myres; "Saturday 6:27AM" - By Josh Rufford; "Takk: An Icelandic Surf Film" - By Chris Hannant.
Friday, September 23: OPENING NIGHT AT THE VIC THEATRE
5:00pm: Adventurer and Bushcraft & Survival Skills Photographer Grant Callegari talks about how he turned his passion for adventure into a successful career. Expect to see lots of cool photos and exciting stories.
6:00pm: Opening celebration of the first annual Wild Water: Victoria International Water Film Festival. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks before the movie! 7:00pm Feature film "The Weekend Sailor" - Is a multiple award winning and inspiring film about Ramon Carlin an inexperienced Mexican sailor, who beat every competing nation in the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race (today known as the Volvo Ocean Race.
9:00pm: Feature film "View From a Blue Moon" features stunning vistas and lets you see the sport of surfing as it’s never been captured before in John Florence and Blake Vincent Kueny’s second signature release, this time in association with the Emmy award-winning production company Brain Farm!

4:14pm: Feature Film "Diving into the Unknown" about four Finnish cave divers face their worst nightmare when two of their friends drown deep inside an underwater cave in Norway. When the official recovery operation is called off by the Norwegian and British authorities after being deemed too risky, the friends set out on a secret mission to retrieve the bodies themselves.
7:00pm: Feature Film "Chasing Niagara" about pro kayaker Rafa Ortiz decides to follow his dream to paddle over Niagara Falls, he sets in motion an incredible series of events that eventually takes on a life of its own.

12:00pm: Feature Film "Michigan Ice Film" see amazing ice climbing and views as the world’s largest lake set a stage for some of the best ice climbing on the continent.
2:15pm: Short Adventure Films Program - A collection of short films that all surround the topic of wild adventures on the water! 4:00pm: Feature Film, "It Ain't Pretty" about the women who surf San Francisco’s Ocean Beach as well as a movement that has women forging new tides in Women's big wave surfing.
7:00pm: Documentary film and talk, "Sonic Sea" about the impact of man-made ocean noise on marine life. followed by speakers who will lead a talk about the film and the effect of noise pollution in the water.
Guests include Kate Moran, President and CEO of Ocean Networks Canada and Michael Jasny, Director of the Marine Mammal Protection Program at the NRDC, and Sarika Cullis-Suzuki, PhD visiting scientist at Ocean Networks Canada.
