You are invited to attend "When Our Oceans Go Sour", a discussion of ocean acidification by Dr. Katharina Fabricius at the Maritime Heritage Centre on Monday, October 28th, starting at 7 pm.
This event, presented by The Discovery Passage Aquarium and North Island College, will include exciting first-hand stories from coral reef research around Papua New Guinea�s underwater volcanoes and Australia�s Great Barrier Reef, combined with discussion of what ocean acidification means for our BC waters and local shellfish production. Dr. Katharina Fabricius has studied coral reefs world-wide,
with over 2,000 hours of scientific diving, over 100 published scientific papers, and dozens of supervised graduate students to her credit.
This event will take place on Monday, October 28th, from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Maritime Heritage Centre�s Thulin room, located at 621 North Island Highway, at Discovery Pier in Campbell River across from the Aquarium. Refreshments will be provided.
