Every week, 2 or more men die on Vancouver Island of this disease. In 2009, an estimated 775 men were diagnosed with prostate cancer on Vancouver Island. 116 of those men died from the disease. Early detection and treatment improve the chances that victims will survive.

The Westcoast Motorcycle Ride to Live raises awareness by staging huge rallies focused on Prostate Cancer. Extensive promotion of the event and its message, "Get yourself tested", is delivered through the local media and community-related events.

Who Will You Be Riding For?

This year’s ride is about supporting men and their families who have prostate cancer. Cancer affects everyone: family members, co-workers and friends.

On May 28th, we are starting at The Local right downtown in the heart of Victoria. We will then travel out to the spectacular Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit (i.e. the GAIN track) in Cowichan Valley.

Once out at the Circuit, we are thrilled to have music and lots of vendors. A great time planned for everyone!

We are asking you to join the ride with hundreds of others who are passionate about honouring the men who have been diagnosed with this challenging disease, or ride in memory of someone who has lost their battle. This year, help us change more lives by raising pledges from your network.

Funds raised on the Island stay on the Island to advance prostate cancer awareness, education and research.

We all know that even a small amount can make a big difference. So our challenge to you this year…can you raise at least $100???

It’s easy – all you have to do is ask 5 of your friends for $20, and there, you have done it!

Did you know that in 2016, through your support of the Ride to Live, we provided over 550 men with a free PSA test (potentially saving a life along the way)?
