Everyone is welcome; no partner or dance experience required.
A versatile modern partner dance, West Coast Swing is non-gendered, inviting dancers to choose their preferred dance role (follow, lead, or switch).
Schedule:
7:00 - 8:00: All-levels workshop taught by Emily Johnston
8:00 - 10:00: Social dancing
Entry: $15, cash at the door
Emily Johnston is the director of the Forbidden Dance Company (https://forbiddendancecompany.com/) in the Comox Valley.
The Nanaimo West Coast Swing Collective hosts social dances twice a month at Wellington Hall.
We will be starting a new class series in Lantzville on Thursday Jan 8, 2026 taught by Dave and Claudia.
