Crissa has released her third CD of original piano music, "We Are Free." It was inspired by an eagle release at the North Island Wildlife Recovery Center and she wants people to be as free as the eagle.
Crissa is an ovarian cancer survivor who had major operations as well chemo and radiation, so she wants to support the scientists and doctors who are about to start clinical trials to stimulate the body's own immune system to fight cancer.
Dr. Brad Nelson at the Trev Deeley Research Center in Victoria is leading this research. Crissa will be performing all over Vancouver Island to benefit immunotherapy research, and she's inviting other artists to join her.
Margaret Nelson is a well known pianist and teacher, and some students from Ballenas Secondary in Parksville will entertain with a jazz combo.
All concert entrances and CDs will be by donation, with all proceeds going to Victoria.
