Watercolour: Painting pebbles and learning to play with textures (Registration Code: 122892)
Saturday November 2: 10am � 4pm
In this Nanaimo Art Gallery workshop you will learn how to create textures with watercolour. Discover how to use saran wrap, salt, waxed paper and water blossoms to create wonderful textures. Then learn how to spatter with a semi-dry brush and how to lift colour with a thirsty brush. You will have fun experimenting with these techniques in the morning, and in the afternoon, you will produce a small study of speckled, lined, salt sprayed, crackled, and pitted pebbles. Learn about colour mixing and how to balance warm and cool grays with plenty of dark contrasting shadows to create visually interesting compositions.

$80 plus GST: all supplies included.
