Warm Clothing Drive & FREE BBQ

The Layzell Dreger & Associates real estate team is hosting a coat drive to collect gently worn or new coats and warm clothing on Sunday, October 6 between 11am and 3pm at 5220 Dublin Way (Pacific Station). Nanaimo residents are invited to make a difference in their local community by donating to the coat drive and helping the Salvation Army reach their goal of providing warm clothing to every person in need this Fall. There will also be a free BBQ and everyone is invited to stop by and enjoy hot dogs, chips and pop. Customers who do not have a coat to donate can still get involved as the Salvation Army kettles will be on hand at the event so cash donations can be accepted.
Community partners include Core Insurance, Pacific Station Notaries and Adam Hawryluk of Dominion Lending Centres. The health effects of extreme cold are life threatening. Because of this, the event hopes to ensure that everyone in Nanaimo will be safe and protected this winter.
