With the demolition of St Michael's, a residential school in Alert Bay where thousands of First Nations children were forcibly sent, a day of healing, ceremony and reconciliation was held in Alert Bay to recognize this powerful event. The Walk Away from Racism will also focus on reconciliation, dialogue and solidarity as we take steps to establishing a positive, more inclusive future together.
