National Volunteer Week 2013 takes place April 21st to 27th! Volunteers Cast a Beautiful Shadow is the motto of this year�s National Volunteer Week, and no wonder, with so many volunteers across this nation improving the lives of Canadians. �No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care,� is a popular quote by Theodore Roosevelt, and lends a voice to the importance of volunteerism. Ultimately, volunteers are an integral part of a caring community.

ValleyLinks � Home of Volunteer Comox Valley in celebration of National Volunteer Week, and the Youth Take Action Project is hosting the valley�s 2013 Volunteer Fair. This event is free to the public and takes place 2:30 � 4:30 pm, Friday, April 26th, at Mark Isfeld Secondary School (in the gymnasium). Organizations from the Comox Valley will have displays with information about their organization and volunteer opportunities.
