28 years ago, a love for the sport of beach volleyball led to the creation of the largest and longest running beach volleyball tournament on Vancouver Island, Volleybash.

This annual event is a favorite among players from all across the province including Vancouver, Kelowna, and of course Vancouver Island. It attracts a variety of players of different levels and ages, but they all come to Parksville to have fun and play volleyball.

The 3-day tournament features 32 courts and 1 feature court. In 2017, 115 teams competed with a total of 285 athletes participating.

The event will feature music and a Kids Zone on Saturday with bouncy castles. Players are invited to a dinner and social event at the Seaside Auditorium in Parksville!

The event is run by Oceanside Outdoor Sport in partnership with Volleyball BC. All proceeds go to support the Canadian Women’s National Volleyball Team.
