Come start your St. Patty's night off with a burger and beer at the Old City Station Pub from 6:00pm to 9:00pm!

The VIU WUSC Local Committee will once again be hosting the best student-run St. Patrick's Day party of the night!

One $13 ticket gets you:
- One beer
- One burger (beef or veggie!)
- An awesome way to kick-off St. Patty's Day downtown!

Tickets are $13 and are on sale at VIU Student Union. VIUSU is open Monday to Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm.

NO TICKETS WILL BE HELD AT THE DOOR!!

Proceeds will be going towards the Student Refugee Program @ VIU (find out more here: http://wuscviu.wordpress.com/the-student-refugee-program-at-viu/).

Through the Student Refugee Program, we sponsor two new students each August to come and pursue their studies at VIU. They arrive from refugee camps in Kenya (originally from South Sudan or Somalia) and begin their life in Canada as a Permanent Resident. Along with generous local community and university donations, we cover their tuition and living costs for their first year; after that, our Sponsored Students are expected to get part-time jobs and student loans to support themselves.

We also support our Sponsored Students socially (by holding events, helping them apply for jobs, showing them how to use our bus system, etc.), as they adjust to life in Canada at VIU.
