VIU Music Department presents Two Nights of Jazz

VIU’s Music Department is pleased to present two fall concerts on November 29 and 30 in the Malaspina Theatre, both starting at 7:30 pm. On Tuesday, November 29 is the Department’s Big Band Night with special guest Johannes Wallmann, a pianist, composer and bandleader who grew up in Qualicum Beach and has toured extensively throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
Tickets are $15 at the door, students free with student card. Wallmann will also host a free workshop on November 29, 12:30 – 2:30 pm in the Malaspina Theatre. Wednesday, November 30, is Choral Night with VIU Vocal Jazz and College singers. Admission is by donation.
