Have you been looking for a reason to visit Gabriola? Well this is it .... the wine tasting event of the year is happening on Gabriola Island at the Surf Lodge. Imagine tasting a Cuvelier Los Andes (92 points Parker) whilst gazing out at the beautiful ocean view overlooking the Sunshine Coast. Local BC wineries that will be featured include Hester Creek, Rocky Creek, Averill Creek, Arrowleaf, Elephant Island, Prospect Winery, Seven Stones, and Golden Mile. There will be international wines from Italy, France, Argentina, Portugal, Chile, California, New Zealand, Australia, and Spain. Wine tastings are a fabulous way to sample many different varieties of wine for very little money. All wines & beers tasted are available at The Village Liquor Store on Gabriola.
A beer tasting will also be set up on the ocean view deck where you can sample beers from Longwood, Driftwood, Wolf, Lighthouse and Howe Sound breweries.
Tickets for this event can be reserved by calling the Village Liquor Store at 250-247-7616 (Visa and MasterCard accepted). Tickets are $20 per person but mention that you read about this event on Harbour Living and get them for half price (while quantities last).
