In this course students will learn how to make short videos from start to finish.The instructor will direct students through the process of developing an idea, storyboarding, creating a shooting plan, the preproduction process, camera use, camera movements, sound recording, editing and embedding video into a website.

Course will also include historical overview of how artists have responded and adapted to new technology, as well as an introduction to contemporary video artists. Students can use their own camera or work in small groups using MediaNet cameras. Students are welcome to use iPhones or digital cameras with video capacity.
