Canadian pianist Dmitri Levkovich, of whom the Cleveland Plain Dealer said “he takes music-making into another realm,” makes his VS debut playing Mendelssohn’s romantic piano concerto. Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll – written as a birthday present to his wife – and the cheerful and melodic Symphony No. 2 of Brahms are also on the program.
