The great J.S. Bach – a strong influence on Hayden – features the flute in his charming Suite No. 2. Virtuoso flautist Susan Hoeppner solos in that work as well as Haydn’s Flute Concerto. Also hear one of the “Father of the Symphony’s” most enjoyable works, Symphony No. 82, “The Bear.”
