Victoria Symphony presents: Ehnes & Mahler 5
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Renowned violinist James Ehnes joins the orchestra to play Lalo’s thrilling and exotic Symphonie Espagnole. Called “the Jascha Heifetz of our day,” Canadian Ehnes has played with top orchestras on four continents in the past year, including the Royal Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony and the Melbourne Symphony. The concert concludes with Mahler’s best-known symphony – his Fifth, which has been described as a symphonic Mt. Everest – grand and exhilarating.
This concert is made possible with a generous grant from the Egon Baumann Foundation.
