Victoria JazzFest presents the Nels Cline and Julian Lage at The Jazz Room in the Harbour Towers Hotel.

About Nels Cline and Julian Lage
Nels Cline is ensconced on both the Rolling Stone and Spin �Greatest Guitarists of All Time� lists. Although he has a serious background in jazz, having performed with the likes of Charlie Haden and Wadada Leo Smith, Cline has always played in a number of alternative-rock settings. Cline has also been a member of the Grammy Award winning band Wilco since 2004. Cline is well paired with the equally virtuosic Julian Lage, a certified guitar prodigy who, despite his youth, had already forged a unique blend of blues, classical, folk, and jazz. He became a sideman and collaborator with artists like Carlos Santana (at age 8!) and later, vibraphonist Gary Burton. Julian last performed at JazzFest in 2010 with his quartet. This duo of astonishing sixstringers will be heaven for all guitar lovers.
