Welcome to Canada’s largest street painting festival! Our family friendly, free-to-attend arts celebration presents some of the world’s top street painters as well as those from across British Columbia and our local region.

Our festival’s First Nation’s theme for 2015 is “Adventure in the Spirit World”, a celebration of dreams, mystery and wonder. We present a number of First Nation’s singers, dancers and drummers on our outdoor performance stage at the corner of Government and View Street(s) along with members from Victoria’s music scene. Our kid’s chalk zone is located on Government Street, close to Yates Street, free chalk is provided. Join us for a full filled weekend and watch amazing art unfold!

Bay Centre

Be sure to visit our 3D chalk painting area at the Bay Centre’s centre court on the lower level. Two internationally acclaimed chalk artists will create a 20’ x 20’ 3D painting over five days. Come early and watch the magic unfold! In order to complete their work on our festival Sunday, the 3D artists will begin their painting on Wednesday, September 9th.

Government Street

Once again we are returning to Victoria’s Government Street encompassing the ‘heritage mile’ which covers some interesting and beautiful architecture. We are looking forward to hosting many more artists this year within our closure zone. If you are an artist and interested in chalking an 8’ X 10’ painting on the street over two days, please fill in an artist’s application form.
