Victoria Genealogical Society Workshop: USING TECHNOLOGY IN GENEALOGY
There are more technological advances to help with genealogy than ever before. But many of us struggle to understand or use them effectively. This workshop will delve into the uses of digital media storage. Cloud based storage, data collection methods, how to safely store data, recovery of deleted media, and organization of data files. We will also look into getting your family tree online as well as genealogy investigation basics by “following the breadcrumbs” and leads as a genealogy detective.
Keith Gibson has been a member of the RCMP for 25 years and developed his expertise in the field of digital computer and mobile phone forensics.
