Saturday, December 3rd, 2016
10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Don't miss this workshop presented by Joe Carr: Most of us have heard promises of going paperless before, and genealogy records are often available on paper only, so how do you move to a paperless process with your research? The hard questions about going paperless will be examined. How do we motivate ourselves to go paperless and what is the payoff? Being able to do a better job using less time, and producing information about our origins which will captivate our family members would be some powerful rewards that just might motivate us to take the plunge!

The first half of the presentation will include looking at new online "cloud" technologies that work well across many personal devices (computers, tablets and smart phones) and will include a live demo of how to actually do paperless genealogy and show off some of the "magic" of storage in the cloud. We will also check-in with previous years' participants to find out where they have made progress, what problems they encountered, and discuss how best to move forward with going paperless.
