GETTING STARTED IN GENEALOGY

PRESENTER: Diana Gaiger

You have decided to branch out and begin tracing your family tree. Great! Fantastic! But wait where or how do you start? Join us to hear and learn about various ways to begin your research.

Starting your family research is an exciting adventure but it can also be overwhelming if you do not approach it with a plan. You need to be clear in your own mind what you expect from your research, how you want to record the
information you discover and who you want to share it with. There may be some stumbles along the way so we will also address how to avoid (or minimize) some of the common pitfalls. Who to turn to for help, where to focus your time and what materials you need will also covered.

Come and meet others who are starting out just like you are. Share questions and answers along with a cup of coffee or tea
