Three For Silver runs off the friction of opposing forces. Thunderous bass and dreamy melody, baritone growl and smooth soprano, new music and timeworn style. The band creates a sound that is both wholly unique and yet familiar.

They’re the feeling you don’t quite have a word for, or the town you just arrived in but could already call home. If it’s folk music no one has found the country of origin. Musical comparisons include such acts as Tin Hat Trio, Man Man, Tom Waits, and Kronos Quartet.

Three For Silver grew as the brainchild of Willo Sertain and Lucas Warford, during a long international tour with the Underscore Orchestra and was named for a half-mistaken poem recalled once in a dream. They perform primarily as a trio, but also in Big Band format with drums, horns, and strings.

The band has hit the road non-stop since their formation in 2013, playing over 200 shows a year, and have gained an international following with their unmistakable sound.
