Tête à Tête is made up of Lynn McGown and Michael Pratt, founders of the Jericho Folk Club. They have an infectious love of singing that has delighted audiences in Vancouver for 30 years, as well as at festivals and folk clubs throughout Canada and the British Isles.

Michael plays concertina and fiddle, drawing upon his Irish roots as well as his involvement in the British folk revival of the 60s and 70s. Lynn's musical roots come from growing up in Montreal in a mixed family of English- and French- Canadians. An evening with Tête à Tête is a musical conversation, laced with stories of love won and lost, along with the other events that shape our lives, and with plenty of opportunity for the audience to lift their voices in chorus.

Our feature act will be preceded by what is arguably Victoria’s best weekly acoustic Open Stage session where musicians from fledglings to professionals can perform a 10 minute set for one of the most welcoming, attentive and participative audiences in town. Aspiring Open Stage performers can sign-up with the VFMS Host between 7:00 and 7:30pm to do a set but should get there early to improve their chances of getting on the evening’s line-up.
