7:30 PM

Rhonda Lou and Michael Nicholls from Little Crow join together with their long time friend and bass player extraordinaire, Clark Brendon. These three first played together in a band back in the Jurassic age (the 70s) and are very happy to be performing together again and for our Victoria Folk Music audience.

Rhonda has been on the music scene in Victoria for over 35 years, and has developed her own unique style through a combination of a strongly percussive rhythm guitar style, rootsy harmonica, and stand- out vocals. Michael has had a lifelong career as a drummer and singer. Since forming Little Crow, he has been able to indulge his love for playing the ukulele as well as the mandolin. Rhonda and Michael have recorded two CDs together, “Horse Crazy”, and “Travelling Light”, released in the Spring of 2015. Joining the duo on double bass, Clark adds his solid musicianship and charismatic style to create a dynamic trio that is sure to bring a smile.

Our feature act will be preceded by what is arguably Victoria’s best weekly acoustic Open Stage session where musicians from fledglings to professionals can perform a 10 minute set for one of the most welcoming, attentive and participative audiences in town. Aspiring Open Stage performers can sign-up with the VFMS Host between 7:00 and 7:30pm to do a set but should get there early to improve their chances of getting on the evening’s line-up.
