Victoria Folk Music Society presents Another Celtic Christmas with Denis Donnelly and Friends

Denis Donnelly has been putting together “Seasonal Features” for our Folk Club (a task he loves to do!) since the 1980s. This year he’s bringing his wonderful 9-woman vocal group made up of former members of his vocal ensemble Soundings, Although Soundings sadly is no more, these women keep that spirit alive with their beautiful harmonies and vibrant stage presence! Denis will also bring along his Irish harp and his long-time flute-playing colleague Lanny Pollet, to play some “Seasonal-related” instrumental tunes, and he’ll lead us all in some Yuletide sing-along songs from places like Yorkshire, Ireland, and maybe even the Appalachians. Come one, come all and share in the joy of the season!
