Victor Wells was born and raised in the Chicago area, where his earliest musical influences were Chicago blues, jazz, the Beatles and 60�s rock and roll. At age fifteen, he began to perform around Chicago in various rock and blues bands. Since that time, his playing experience has ranged from television and theatre productions in Toronto, Chicago and British Columbia, to street singing in London and Paris, a three-year stint in Tokyo as a musician and studio singer, as well as outdoor festival engagements across Canada.
As a solo artist, Victor performs a wide variety of styles: blues, R & B, rock, reggae, country and ragtime, all blended tastefully in a very personal style. Now based in Victoria, BC, Victor performs with The Variables, a 4-piece roots and blues band, as well as with the Atomic Allstars, led by saxophonist/vocalist Paul Wainwright.
