VI Raiders' Dance Team Auditions

The VI Raiders are looking for energetic candidates of at least 15 years of age to be part of the VI Raider Girls! We are searching for dynamic girls with an outgoing personality, a positive attitude and good team spirit!

You must have a good dance background, in hip-hop and/or jazz; cheerleading or gymnastics experience is an asset. The team will rehearse once a week (starting mid-June) throughout the summer and perform at every VI Raiders home game at Caledonia Park. The football season starts in August and goes until November.

Auditions start at 4:30pm but note that sign-in is at 4:15pm. We will have application forms to fill up upon arrival. Please wear dance attire, bring a headshot (doesn't need to be professional, for identification purpose only) and the $10 audition fee.

You will be given a number to wear on the front of your dance attire. There won't be a group warm-up, so be sure to make time for it on your own. You will then be taught a short dance routine to perform in front of the judges. Our cheer coach will also teach you part of a cheer. You may be asked to freestyle to show your abilitities and best tricks.

The VI Raiders have been on the field cheering on the VI Raiders since 2007 and we pride ourselves in presenting a professional looking team while having a blast doing it! The team is coached by 3 former CFL cheerleaders who love the game and everything surrounding it!
