The Canadian Waterman Festival is a special water sport event, highlighting Stand Up Paddle Boarding in the Comox Valley.
Saturday � We are proud to present a special opening ceremony by our local First Nations, then we all paddle together out to our private event beach where the fun begins. A new style short course is being planned, so start working on your turns. We�ll finish up the day with relays in the evening.
Sunday will be the distance races which count toward the overall series championships. Our unique long-distance course offers all aspects of SUP paddling with flat water, a portage and downwind leg with good chop. The course circumnavigates the Comox Spit and is quite the challenge. There will be a 5K and 8K races, all categories. We are confident that this new format will attract new and seasoned paddlers to the Island Series as each event will have itsʼ own uniqueness , giving the series something for everyone to enjoy.
