OPERA is coming to town. Qualicum beach to be precise.Vancouver Island Opera is presenting a fully staged version of Verdi's Rigoletto with orchestra. Come and hear the thrilling high notes of the young tenor (The duke) singing that familiar aria La Donna E Mobile and the gorgeus voice of the baritone (Rigoletto) pleading and plotting revenge for the honour of his beautiful daughter Gilda.
If you have never been but wanted to experience theatre that is opera,this is a great one to start with.While it is sung in Italian,the story is very easy to follw and understand and there will be a running translation projected on the side of the stage.Come and experience an emotional roller coaster.
