This year we are adding a bunch of new programs, events, clinics and teachers to Vancouver Island Drum Camp.

SUMMER DRUM CAMPS

Beginner Camps � July 8 to 12 and July 29 to August 2. COST $250.00
10am to 12pm (2 hrs.) daily � For beginners, learn to play all styles of music, percussion in a group setting with some of the best drum teachers on Vancouver Island. Learn in professional drum studios on professional drums. Get a taste for music in a fun environment. No exp needed!

Intermediate Camps � July 8 to 12 and July 29 to Augusts 2 COST $350.00
1pm to 4pm (3hrs.) daily - For drummers who have been playing for at least a year, this is the next step for you! Take all the skills you have learned and the skills given in the beginner camp and apply it to more advanced grooves, styles and technique.

ADVANCED DRUM CAMP � July 15 to 19 COST $500.00
From 10am to 230pm (4.5 hrs) daily includes half hour break � For drummers with 2 to 5 years experience.
Day 1 - Hip Hop / Funk / R&B / Drum�n Bass
Day 2 � Jazz / Swing / Blues
Day 3 �Rock / Punk / Heavy Metal
Day 4 � Hand Percussion / World Drumming / Prep for the stu;dio
Day 5 � Playing Live / How to prep your gear / Working with your sound guy

Vancouver Island University Jazz Program Drum Prep with VIU drum instructor Hans Verhoven -Saturdays (Cost 50.00 / hr.) July & August
Get a head start on your VIU drumming years with Hans at Harbour City Music. Beef up your Jazz skills with one of the BEST jazz drummers around, and our Vancouver Island Resident Jazz Drum Instructor. Hans will teach you the skills you need to help you on your way through the four-year program at Vancouver Island University.

Weekly drum lessons are available at HARBOUR CITY MUSIC year round with our great instructors, in our ACOUSTIC DRUM STUDIOS. 20.00 / half hour. Learn to play on pro-acoustic drums, not on practice pads or electronic kits. Get the real feel of drumming, performing and rocking out in a drummer�s environment.
