The Awakening is a weekend seminar of four presentations that explore the deep, insatiable quest for that "something more" that resides in every human being. From somewhere deep inside us, our hearts are whispering, �Something is missing. I was made for more than this.� Here at Renewed Heart Ministries, we believe you actually were made for something�or rather, a relationship with Someone so much more. These universal longings in each of our hearts are further compounded by the multitude of misperceptions and misunderstandings we all hold about God and who He really is. If we could encounter Him and His love as it truly is, we would also encounter the awakening and fulfillment of our deepest heart desires. If you feel like something is missing in your relationship with God, or you simply have questions that you haven't found satisfactory answers for, we invite you to come and feel the resonance within as you encounter the true beauty of God�s character of love. Hear your heart begin to whisper, �This is what I have always been searching for.� Experience God in a whole new way as you begin to see Him as He really is, for �by love is love awakened.�


Herb Montgomery was raised in West Virginia in a nominal Christian home. Religion didn�t mean much because it didn�t have much to do with God on a personal level. He was raised a �Christian,� because that is what people are supposed to be. The beginnings of a radical change came when Herb, at 14 years of age, discovered a series of Bible studies dealing with prophecy while rummaging around in his Grandmother�s attic. Without the guidance of a pastor or Bible teacher, Herb completed that series of lessons and made a personal commitment to God. At that point it was largely an intellectual understanding of some basic Bible facts that formed his relationship with God. It was a good foundation. But Herb hungered for more of God and began to study the bible for himself. When he was 16 that study finally culminated in a personal encounter with God. He found himself on his knees in tears, overwhelmed by realization of God�s love for him.

�This was the first time I actually felt that God loved me. That He gave up all for me. And that whether I served Him with my life or not, He would continue to love me and pour out blessings on me, simply because I was His child and He loved me.

Herb Montgomery�s experience in ministry began when he was a teenager teaching other young people how to share their faith through door-to-door witnessing. From 1998 to 2000, he was the director of S.O.U.L.S. (Southern Outreach Leadership School) in Orlando, Florida, under the direction of the Southern Union and the Florida Conference. In leading the Bible classes, he emphasized our unique truths in the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2000, Herb accepted a call to be a seminar speaker for Light Bearers Ministry, a publishing and evangelistic ministry based in Oregon.Herb currrently resides in West Virginia,where he finds his greatest joy with his wife Crystal and children Alexis,Emarya and Christian.For more info check out Herb's website www.renewedheartministries.com/whoisrhm.aspx

Also joining us is Gospel Singer Paul Antunes.Paul Antunes and his wife Raquel are originally from Brazil. Paul produced his first English CD entitled, �Believe� in 2006 while living in British Columbia, Canada.He is currently on staff as Chaplain at CUC,Lacombe AB.Paul has an awesome singing voice and he will be sharing with us this weekend.You well hear him throughout camp meeting.Plan to attend Sabbath afternoon for Paul Antunes in Concert at 3:30pm.You well be glad you came.
