Twin Bill: The Harpoonist & The Axe Murderer & The 24th Street Wailers

The Harpoonist & The Axe Murderer are armed with an arsenal of harmonicas, rugged vocals, a mess of foot percussion, and a road-worn Telecaster. Their most recent album A Real Fine Mess was nominated for “Best Blues Album of the Year” at the 2015 Juno Awards.

The 24th Street Wailers take vintage rock and roll, 60’s R&B, and rockabilly and kick it up a notch. Their hard-swinging shows earned them two consecutive Maple Blues Award nominations for “Best Entertainer of the Year” in 2013 and 2014. Their latest album Where Evil Grows was also nominated for the 2015 Juno for “Best Blues Album of the Year”.

Ana Popovic plus The KingmiXers

Ana Popovic, aka “The Serbian Scorcher”, is one of the most lauded guitarists in American blues music. This five time Blues Music Award nominee developed her fiery technique and ear for New Orleans blues while growing up in Belgrade during the dissolution of Yugoslavia and the fall of communism.

Opening Act: The KingmiXers are local veterans recently returned from a tour of Europe with their 2014 album Flyboy, which features a delicious mix of fiery harmonica, boogie piano, and solid West Coast and Chicago grooves.
