THE HARPOONIST & THE AXE MURDERER are relentless touring artists known for their high-energy, sweaty, dance-floor-boogying performances.
Shawn “Harpoonist” Hall (vocals/harmonica) and Matthew “Axe Murderer” Rogers (guitar/bass/foot percussion) have just released Apocalipstick, the follow up to 2014’s widely acclaimed A Real Fine Mess, which was nominated for “Blues Album of the Year” at the 2015 Juno Awards and earned the band the win for “Blues Album of the Year” and “Alternative Album of the Year at the 2015 WCMA’s.
Famous for gritty, blues-rock grooves framed by psychedelic landscapes and world-ending jam-outs, this top Canadian blues band has shared the stage with Mother Mother, Taj Mahal, Booker T Jones, and Serena Ryder. They return to Blues Bash as a four-piece band. Representing a new era of British blues rock, THE VILLANOVAS have toured across the UK, Canada, and Mexico. They recently released their debut EP Bitter Seeds.
