The Cowichan Valley Regional District is funding the broadcast of the Canucks play-off games at the Cowichan Theatre in Duncan, BC. Other cities are offering free live viewing broadcasts of the Canuck-Boston NHL Stanley Cup Series, and so is the Cowichan Valley.

Canucks fans will be awe struck as they watch the players larger than life on a 19 ft by 40 ft screen in high definition along with professional quality sound and visual projection. This family-friendly event will be an exciting, unparalleled viewing experience. And thanks to the CVRD it�s Free!

�Our brand new digital sound board will make your ears believe you are actually cheering on the team in person!� said Kirsten Schrader, Manager of the Arts and Culture Division of the Cowichan Valley Regional District. �This is such an important cultural community event and we didn�t want to miss the chance to invite everyone to the Cowichan Theatre to cheer the Canucks on. Watching the games in a public setting is so much more fun than watching at home!�

Admission is by donation with 100% of the proceeds going to KidSport Cowichan and the Cowichan Valley Basket Society (Food Bank). The concession will be available for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages plus light food and snacks. All games begin at 5 PM with the first one is Wednesday, June 1st.

The game schedule is: June 1, June 4, June 6, June 8, June 10, June 13, and June 15 all at 5pm. The Theatre doors will open at 4pm. And just a reminder, the game on Wednesday June 8th will be in the arena!
