add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
'Unarchived' is a feature-length NFB documentary (84 minutes).
The filmmakers, Hayley Gray and Elad Tzadok, visited community archives across British Columbia, seeking out local knowledge keepers who are hand-fashioning a more inclusive history. Through a collage of personal interviews, archival footage and deeply rooted memories, the past, present and future come together, fighting for a space where everyone is seen and everyone belongs. History is what we all make of it.
There will be a post-screening panel with special guests including the two directors, Dr. Satwinder Bains of the South Asian Canadian Digital Archive, Dr. Tzu-I Chung of RBCM and Dr. Imogene Lim of VIU.
The event is generously supported by by VIU’s Global Citizens Week and VIUFA HRIS (Human Rights & International Solidarity) with the National Film Board of Canada, which produced and is distributing the film.
