Ucluelet Salmon Ladder Derby

The Ucluelet Salmon Ladder Derby is a fundraising avenue for the Thornton Creek Hatchery, West Coast Forest Society and Pacific Salmon Foundation. Each month the top three fish win cash and prizes. The top 15 fish of each month, along with the top 65 of the summer are invited to the Fish Off on September 7th and 8th. The other fish on the ladder at month-end receive an invitation to a draw to participate in the Fish Off.

Our September Fish Off winner receives $10,000 in cash and prizes (based on ticket sales). The selected anglers for the Hidden Weight Match will try to match their catch with the weight in the the sealed envelope for the $250,000 cash prize.
All net proceeds of the Ucluelet Salmon Ladder Derby is donated to local salmon enhancement projects.
