Turn Down the Heat and Donate a Sweater

Downtown Nanaimo businesses will once again participate in the province wide Turn Down the Heat campaign from February 1st-7th, 2015.
The Downtown Nanaimo Business Improvement Area (DNBIA) and over 20 other Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) in the province will partner with their members to turn down the heat at work and at home and put on a sweater to raise awareness of reducing energy consumption.
The two organizations who will benefit from your generosity of new or gently used sweaters will be the Nanaimo Women's and Men's Resource Centre. Our goal is to promote energy conservation and by doing so we encourage Nanaimo residents to help surpass the 5000 sweaters that were donated in the 2014 province wide campaign.
Please bring your gently used sweaters to any of these locations, sweaters for all ages, sizes and gender are appreciated:
