Western Edge Theatre presents "Trying to Keep Up" and "Mourning in Rm. 243", a double-bill of one-act plays by two of Vancouver Island's most exciting young Indigenous writers.
In "Trying to Keep Up" by Castor Angus, two men who were lovers in their late teens meet again at an intimate dinner. Archie is there with his wife, while Walsh is accompanied by his exuberant fiancée, Ashton. But just how eternal is love?
And In “Mourning in Rm. 243” by Daniel Puglas, family members gather in a motel room after a funeral. As the “mourning” begins, the spectre of alcohol in their lives finally becomes too much for one of them.
