Trinitas Chamber Ensemble: Currents of the Third Stream
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Join Trinitas Chamber Ensemble for a program of contemporary music that dips its toes into the world of jazz.
Featuring works by Nikolai Kapustin, Astor Piazzola and Lowell Liebermann performed by flutist Michelle Cheramy, pianist Phil Roberts and cellist Nathan Cook. Born from a desire to explore the fringes of standard classical chamber music and to present engaging, off-beat performances, Trinitas is Eastern Canada’s premiere flute/cello/piano chamber ensemble.
Taking its name from the Latin word for “three,” the group consists of three outstanding musicians with a shared vision and infectious onstage chemistry. Accomplished soloists in their own right, the members of Trinitas have performed around the world, including St. Petersburg (Russia), Llangollen (Wales), Uberlândia (Brazil), and Tegucigalpa (Honduras).
