Come join singer-songwriter Lorraine Nygaard and fabulous band members
Ashley Wey, piano; Louis Rudner, bass; Damian Graham, drums; and Richard Moody, violin.. At the inaugural “Getting to Know Nina Simone” in 2019, audience members were blown away by the energy of the band, and deeply moved by the passion in Ms. Nygaard’s delivery of the material. As Ms. Simone would hope for, and as jazz dictates, the show will be a different feel than earlier renditions: Part story-telling, part drama, full on commitment to celebrating the life and work of fabulous Ms. Simone, you can be part of this special evening.
Born Eunice Waymon, Ms. Simone was born on February 21st, 1933, so we're right on time to pay tribute.
