Traditional Family Barn Dance with Live Fiddle Band

No dance experience is needed for this Friday evening Traditional Fiddle Barn Dance hosted by Nanaimo Fiddle Society. Our experienced caller will instruct, guide and coach everyone for each circle dance and pattern dance.

A partner is not necessary although fun to have. This is not a Square Dance but Square Dancers and Contra Dancers are certainly most welcome to join us!

Please bring a water bottle and a smile. Bring loonies for cookies and coffee at the concession.

Doors open at 6:30. Dance begins promptly at 7:00 and finishes at 9:00. When hall capacity is reached, ticket sales will be closed so come early!

For safety, children under 2 will dance in parents' arms.

This is a non-alcohol family event.

For those with mobility issues and not able to dance, please accept our invitation to enjoy an evening of toe-tappin' Celtic, Quebecois and Cape Breton fiddle music. You will smile 'til your cheeks hurt!

Several recent Barn Dances have been sold out.  Tickets sold at door but advance tickets through website are recommended https://nanaimofiddlesociety.square.site  $15 per person or $30 per family. There will be a donation jar next to dance floor for those who wish to donate to the bursary fund to support our talented youth fiddlers with financial need.

Hand sanitizer available at door.  Please, if you are sick, stay home and join us for our next Barn Dance when you are well again.
